Good afternoon on this Monday....

We had  a very busy weekend.  We went to Ohio to attend a neice's graduation party.  Can't believe how fast all these kids are growing up, including mine!!

We went friday night and came back Sunday morning in time for church, because I had to sing for Father's Day.  On saturday we went on a couple of walks around town.  The town had a beautiful park right smack in the middle of town.  It is a great park.  We walked on the swinging bridge, my kids had never seen one.  My oldest boy, FIL and myself got the bridge to swinging...LOL  It was GREAT!!!....LOL  The they have a nature trail to walk.  We walked the old train tracks.  The little boys found lots of snails and wild strawberries and black raspberries.

It was so much fun to spend time with family.  My BILs family and us always have a grand time.  We laughed til we cried!!!

On a side note, this is the fish that Josh caught from our pond....He is quite the fisherman!!!
Well, this isn't getting our laundry done and this house cleaned!!...Goodbye til the next time...

Spring/Summer on our little farm

Once again, it has been a long time since I've posted.  And for the 1 person out there who might be checking my blog, I'm so sorry.  LOL

We have been busy planting our garden, mowing the yard, keeping the weeds out of my flower bed (and that is a full time job in  and of itself, I was determined this year to not let it get away from me!!!) Kids are home from school from the summer!! I love having them here with me.  The older boys are helping a couple in our church with some landscaping.  Katelyn is working 2 jobs this summer.  On a side note, she will be starting a new job in a couple of weeks, she is so excited.  From Luke down, they are just hanging out with Mama.
Here is our family at Easter.....

Since I last wrote, we have gotten a new family pet. This is Daisy...we LOVE her!!!!

We just bought our first two pigs to raise out.  We are having a lot of fun with them.  We also bought a couple more cows than usual to raise out.  I love living here on our little farm!!!!  Its work, but when the day is done and you look around, you feel blessed!!!!! (or at least I do....lol)

This is Wilber and Uncle....

Well, since I said that I wasn't going to let my flower beds get ahead of me, I had better get off of here and go work in them...LOL  Hope this hasn't been too boring.  And I will try to do a better job of keeping things posted for the one person who reads this.

Hope you are having a good summer in your area!!!!

WOW!!!...It has been a very long time since I posted on here.  Didn't realize how long it has been.  LOL

We have slowed down a bit.  Our summers and fall are so stuffed full of gardening and yardwork and football.  Josh played his final year of JFL.  Luke played his first year of JFL.  Aaron plays flag football. And the two highschoolers are in the band for the football games.

Our oldest Katelyn is a Jr in high school.  In a couple of weeks she will inducted into the Beta club. She is .25 of a point behind first chair trumpet, which is her boyfriend....lol

Jip is a sophomore and plays one of the bass drums in the drumline.  He is having a ball!!

Josh is in 8th grade, he has been chosen to help some younger kids who are struggling with reading and paying attention in class.

Luke is playing the tuba in 5th grade band.  Such a big instrument for a little fellow...lol

Aaron is doing great in 3rd grade.  He is taking piano lessons.

Josiah is in 1st grade and loves to read!!!

Janae is still at home with me.  She will be 4 in December.  She is going to make me old or keep me young....LOL

I can't believe how fast life is going.  I remember as a kid, my birthday is in May, thinking it was FOREVER to my birthday and FOREVER to Christmas. My kids have commented this year, "it is almost Christmas already??!!". If they say that, I think time is flying!!!!!

Thanks for catching up with our family. Hope you are having a good week and have a great weekend!!!!

I love doing this for our family!!!!  Hope you had a great Valentines Day!!!

Buck of 2012.....

This is my trophy for the 2012 hunting season, an 8pt buck.  Katelyn (my oldest daughter) was hunting with me and this guy was with 2 does.  I was counting on the does coming out of the woods because that is what Katelyn can shoot.  But he came out on his own, so I took the shot!!

Three of our boys went out with me to haul him into the truck.  So I took their picture.  (Josh, Luke and Aaron)

Im really hoping that Katelyn gets one this evening!!!

Til next time..............hope you are having a good fall!!!

Fall at our House.....

We have had a very busy fall. Josh played JFL again this year and Luke played Flag Football this year.  They both did really well.  But WOW it was very time comsuming!!! Plus Katelyn is in marching band. So between the three of them, I met myself coming and going!!!...lol It is slowing down just a bit.  Katelyn will be done with marching band in a week and a half, but Jip made the 8th grade basketball team....lol  So off and running again!!!!....LOL But I'm thankful that my kids have the ability to be part of these things!!

We are having a really pretty fall here.  We have alot of hardwood so alot of the time it isn't really colorful.  But the trees surrounding our little place is very colorful this year!!! The picture above was taken yesterday looking over the pond.

We are still getting tomatoes and green peppers from our garden....WHOO HOO!!!  I'm planning on making crabapple jelly today. Our tree is LOADED!!!!  Next to strawberry...crabapple is my very favorite jelly.

Well I need to get off of here and get busy....lol.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

On the 4th of July we went to my best friends house to celebrate our country's freedom. Tammy took our family picture out in the their backyard.  It is very hard to get 9 people to all look at once!...lol

We are so very thankful for the inch of rain that we got yesterday!!!! We watched our yard start turning green.  For real, you could actually see it coming back to green!!!!!
